Potassium Citrate, also known as Potassium citrate tribasic, Potassium dihydrogen citrate hydrate, and Tripotassium citrate, have the chemical formula C6H5K3O7 or C6H5K3O7-H2O. It appears as odorless white hygroscopic crystals or white crystalline powder and is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of potassium oxide and hydrogen bromides.
